Step 6 — Reassess Strategies and the Strategic Planning ProcessThis step requires that organization personnel review the identified strategies with two goals in mind. The first goal is to reduce the number of strategies by elimination or consolidation. This is a form of prioritization that is designed to reduce redundancies in the goals and strategies. Frequently, this step involves consolidating efforts and encourages working across functional and divisional boundaries to the benefit of the organization. Another goal for this step is to review the strategic planning process for lessons learned that could be applied next time or to other organizational planning activities.
