STEP 3: monitor and evaluate kt plans

The third and final step of the Knowledge Transfer Process involves measuring and evaluating the success of the Knowledge Transfer (KT) plan implemented. Once established, the plan is integrated into the organization/unit procedures and into employee performance plans.

Plans without feedback are not functional and are soon forgotten. A list of possible performance metrics and evaluative tools is provided to assist in measuring the success of the KT plans in achieving the goals and objectives of the work unit.

The program provides an additional list of possible barriers to the successful implementation of a KT program, with tips for overcoming them. Also available are tips for integrating KT activities with other HR processes. This list includes possible "trigger activities" from HR functions that might "trigger" a corresponding Knowledge Transfer activity, thus revealing the Knowledge Transfer program to be a truly integrated program.
